Death of a loved one

Why, if I pray to cope with the death of my father, I continue to take pills to try and forget? How do I pray for closure for the death of my father?  How do I or when will I get over the death of my father?

Dealing with the loss of a loved is one of most challenging things we’ll ever face. First I encourage you to attend a free class we offer here at Legacy. The class is called “Season of Peace “and it will not only help you “cope” with your sense of loss, but it will give you tools needed to overcome the grief in your heart. In this class, you’ll also meet other people who’ve overcome the same pain you’re feeling. Here is a scripture to mark in your Bible.

1st Thessalonians 4:13-14, 17-18 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. Vs. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. Vs. 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Vs. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
