I was told that since I was sexually abused that I was no longer a virgin, and have therefore sinned against God, is this true?
Being a virgin or not is a physical state of your body dependent upon sexual activity that you consented to or that which was forced upon you. The sin issue is the sexual activity not whether or not you are a virgin. When sexual activity is forced upon you, you have not sinned against God; the person who abused you sinned against God. Sexual abuse is always the sin of the person who commits it and no other. Ephesians 4:32 tells us that we are to treat others with kindness and consideration; we are not to abuse them. Therefore the person who abused you has sinned against God not you.
