WEBMASTER

Legacy Church is seeking a Part-Time imaginative and detail-oriented Webmaster. The Webmaster implements web pages, maintains content and oversees day-to-day management of the church website, assures quality and integrity of web pages. Applicants must have a minimum of two years experience in a high production, Html, Xhtml, proficiently with Mac computers, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Office apps. Candidate must also have strong written and verbal communication abilities and be a self-starter that thrives as part of a team. The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment is a must.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Duties include maintaining the church website.
  • Strong web design skills.
  • Creates, gains approval for, and maintains guidelines for the look and feel of the website.
  • Works with web representatives and their departments to translate content to the web.
  • Stays current with developments and changes in web publishing techniques, and with emerging ?technologies in web-based applications and file standards.
  • Troubleshoots technical problems with the websites.
  • Upload/publish completed web pages to the web server.
  • Creates departmental forms in multiple formats for customer web download.
  • Responds to citizen emails and phone calls concerning the website.
  • Maintains and reports web usage and access statistics.
  • Planning, organizational, problem-solving and time-management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in an environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Maintain and manage an inventory of advertisements.
  • A thorough knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques.
  • Experience of running and evaluating online marketing campaigns, which will include the management of Facebook, Twitter, and various other campaigns.
  • Troubleshoot the site.
  • Review statistics and monitor analytics. In addition to making sure everything is functioning properly on the website, the Webmaster provides analysis of the website’s business health.
  • Plan for future changes to the website. Beyond the focus of day-to-day activities, the improvement of the website as a whole is a necessary.
  • Stay current with software and hardware that can improve the success of the church’s website.
  • Flexible attitude and willingness to work as a team in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Web Development, Design or related field / or 2 years professional experience in a Web-related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of web development and site management applications, including Front Page, Adobe Photoshop, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated understanding of effective design techniques and standards including user interface design, graphics creation, production, and optimization for the web.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and listening skills.
