When you have a spouse that is always negative about church and everything else how should we act as Christians, especially when it comes to giving, serving, and tithing? How should we pray for them daily so that God will begin to work in their lives? Romans 12:9-21 are God's rules for living like a Christian without regard to your circumstances. God tells how we are to love one another, bless those who hurt us, how not to repay wrong for wrong, to live peaceably with others, and how to allow God to work in other people's lives. 1Cor. 13 4-8 helps us to understand when we love someone how we are to love them such as being kind not rude, not seeking your own, and believing and hoping in all things. God has told us that each one of us will give an account of himself to God for what we did here in this life (Romans 14:12). Therefore since we are responsible for our own behaviors we need to follow God's commands of giving, serving, and tithing whether our spouse does or not. There are books called The Power of a Praying Wife and the Power of a Praying Husband that will help you as you pray continually for your spouse.
