Is it wrong for my child to make her First Holy Communion even though she knows the difference with Catholics tradition? We attend Legacy and got baptized here, but our grandmother makes me feel guilty that she wants to see her do that before she dies.

I believe that you are causing confusion in the mind of your child. You are having her hold to a tradition of man instead of to the truth of God's Word. We will be having communion on Easter Sunday for the 1st-6th grades in Children's Church. Invite your grandmother to be part of this celebration. Let your grandmother know that you love and respect her, but making this sacrament in the Catholic Church will not have any affect on your child's eternal destination. It is only through her continued belief in the Lord Jesus Christ and receiving Him as the Lord of her life that will assure her of salvation.
