To get ahead in life, you need to go the extra mile. Someone once said, “There are no traffic jams in going the extra mile.” Today, many people do just enough to get by. Still, some are more worried about what others are doing rather than what they are doing. This kind of attitude is not healthy, and it will not help us get ahead in life. What we need is an attitude adjustment with a mindset that leads to success and accomplishment. We need to work smart and hard. If you work for someone, then give them your best. Do not wait to be told to do something when you can see it needs to be done. Rise above the norm and purpose to do well no matter what everyone else is doing. Our rewards and promotions come from the Lord! Let us work and live in a way that glorifies Him. Do not get distracted from doing what is right, even if it goes unnoticed for a time. Sooner or later you will get rewarded for your services. Complaining and grumbling will not get you ahead. What will get us ahead is doing the right thing all the time. Be honest, and do not just go along to get along. Let us stand up and stand out and watch God promote.
