The foundation which you build your life on is the most important part of your belief system.

Lay the foundation:

It is defined as: down from the most general to the most specific detail; the substructure which determines the entire direction. So, the foundation determines how big something can get, how tall something can be. It determines the size, the height, the strength of a building or, in this case, your life.

Build on it:

Build on the wrong foundation or one that is not strong or built right and your life will crumble and fall at some point. Build your life on the solid foundation and when the storms of life come and go you will be standing. What should we build our life on? What does God say we should build our life on? We should build our foundation on the truth — Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God (Matt 16:13-20). Jesus Himself says, “Upon this rock (truth) I will build My church.” If you don’t build your lives on Jesus as your Savior and Lord, you will find out, probably too late, that you built your life on the wrong foundation. He says He will build His church.

Get plugged in:

We all need to be plugged into and helping, serving, giving to a church. He didn’t build His church so you could stay home and ignore it. He built it so you could help make a difference with your life — spiritual, eternal difference.

The foundation all real believers should build their lives on is: Jesus is Lord of all, and we must receive Him and serve Him. Secondly, we must build our lives on the importance of the Church, making it a priority in our lives and the lives of our children.
